Bulk Finder Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 07/20/2026

1. Overview

Bulk Finder is a Chrome extension designed to help authorized users locate, highlight, select, and track records in web-based data tables using a user-provided list of IDs.

Bulk Finder is primarily designed for approved Qualtrics response table workflows. In Qualtrics, Bulk Finder can find matching user IDs, highlight matching records, select matching checkboxes, track found and remaining IDs, and optionally auto-advance through paginated response tables.

Bulk Finder is intended to improve efficiency and reduce repetitive manual searching. Users should always review selected records before performing any final action, such as deletion, export, publishing, or bulk update.

2. Information Bulk Finder Collects or Processes

Bulk Finder may process the following information locally in the user's browser:

User-provided IDs

Bulk Finder allows users to paste a list of IDs into the extension. These IDs may be internal user IDs, response IDs, or other record identifiers.

Visible website or table content

Bulk Finder reads visible table content on supported web pages so it can compare the pasted IDs against the records displayed on the page.

Scan results

Bulk Finder stores scan results locally, including:

Local browser state

Bulk Finder may use the current active tab URL and page state to scan the correct page and track page-by-page progress.

3. How Bulk Finder Uses Information

Bulk Finder uses the information described above only to provide its core functionality:

Bulk Finder does not use this information for advertising, analytics, profiling, creditworthiness, marketing, or any unrelated purpose.

4. How Bulk Finder Stores Information

Bulk Finder stores extension data locally in the user's browser using Chrome storage.

This local storage may include:

This information is stored only to support the extension's stated purpose and to allow scan progress to be tracked during use.

Users can clear this locally stored information by clicking the Clear button in the Bulk Finder extension.

5. Data Sharing

Bulk Finder does not sell, transfer, transmit, or share user data with third parties.

Bulk Finder does not send pasted IDs, scan results, page content, selected records, or browsing activity to:

All processing occurs locally in the user's browser.

6. Remote Code

Bulk Finder does not use remote code.

All JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and extension logic are included directly in the extension package. Bulk Finder does not load external scripts, external WebAssembly files, external JavaScript modules, or code evaluated from remote sources.

7. Permissions Used

Bulk Finder requests browser permissions only to support its stated functionality.

Storage

Used to store pasted IDs, scan settings, found IDs, remaining IDs, page breakdown results, and Auto-Advance status locally in the browser.

Active Tab

Used to allow Bulk Finder to scan the active browser tab when the user starts a scan.

Tabs

Used to identify the active tab and current page URL so Bulk Finder can run scans on the correct page and track page-by-page results.

Scripting

Used to inject scanning logic into the active page so Bulk Finder can read visible table content, highlight matching rows, select matching checkboxes when enabled, and click the next-page button when Auto-Advance is enabled.

Host Access

Used so Bulk Finder can scan supported web pages for user-provided IDs. Bulk Finder uses host access only to provide bulk finding, highlighting, selecting, tracking, and auto-advance functionality.

8. User Control

Users control when Bulk Finder scans by clicking Scan Page.

Users can choose whether to enable:

Users can stop automated page movement using Stop Auto-Advance.

Users can clear locally stored extension data using the Clear button.

9. Data Retention

Bulk Finder stores data locally only as needed to support the user's current workflow.

Data remains in local Chrome storage until:

Bulk Finder does not maintain a server-side database and does not retain user data outside the user's browser.

10. Intended Use

Bulk Finder is intended for authorized users who have permission to access and process the relevant data table or Qualtrics response records.

Users are responsible for verifying selected records before completing any final action in the underlying website or application.

11. Limited Use Statement

Bulk Finder uses locally stored data only to provide its stated purpose: finding, highlighting, selecting, tracking, and auto-advancing through matching records from a user-provided list of IDs.

Bulk Finder does not sell, transfer, transmit, or use user data for advertising, profiling, analytics, creditworthiness, or any unrelated purpose.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
